What is Fernily?

Fernily is a personal plant care app for small, invite-only households. It helps you and your household track your plants, log care activities, and stay on top of watering schedules — together.

What data we collect

• 🪪Google account info — your name, email address, and profile photo, collected when you sign in with Google.
• 🪴Plant data — plant names, photos, watering schedules, and care logs that you enter yourself.
• 🔔Push notification token — a device token used to send you watering reminders. Stored only if you grant notification permission.
• ⚙️App preferences — settings like your preferred plants view, stored locally in your browser.

How we use it

Your data is used solely to operate the app — showing your plants, logging care activities, and sending watering reminders to your household. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising or analytics.

Where it's stored

Data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage), hosted in the EU/US by Google Cloud. Firebase is governed by Google's privacy policy.

Access & deletion

You can ask to have all your data deleted at any time by contacting the household admin. Because Fernily is invite-only, access is controlled manually — there is no self-serve sign-up or account deletion flow today.
